TIDY THAMES I
Tidy Thames Refuse Services provides a recycling and waste management service to homes, businesses and visitors on and along the tidal river Thames, and various connected waterways, between Teddington and Gravesend. The service is operated from a customised Dutch barge "Tidy Tahmes I" which collects waste from our wide and varied range of customers.
The Tidy Thames I is a very versatile vessel. She has a forward mounted HIAB crane, large flat stable deck (created by putting lids on the 20ft ISO containers) and provides a solid stable yet mobile platform. She has been used in a number of filming jobs as an action boat, camera platform and to deliver equipment to and from logiscially complex river based locations.
Examples include: Spooks, Silent Witness, The Flood, Charlie, James Bond and Harry Potter.
She has also been used to deliver plant and materials to piers, barges and properties on the Thames where traditional lorry delivery is not possible.
