GOLDEN SALAMANDER
One of the most modern of the Thames vessels, the 'Golden Salamander' offers light and airy accommodation coupled with the slim lines of a stylish motor yacht. She can hold up to 150 guests, but her unique 3 - deck design ensures that any number from 20 upwards may be entertained in comfort.
For early drinks enjoy the observation deck aft. Dining takes place in the lower saloon with more lively entertainment perhaps on the upper deck. The full bar is situated on the mezzanine reception deck.
She makes the perfect venue for any type of event; dinner dances, discotheque parties, presentations, seminars, wedding receptions, film shoots, television interviews, or for those who simply want to celebrate.
Flexibility is her key. Embarkation can take place at any Pier between Richmond and the Thames Barrier. A journey on board will enhance any occasion. She is one of the busiest boats on the Thames so if you have a specific date in mind please book early to avoid disappointment!

I can recommend the hire of the Golden Salamander for a party for 100 guests - although the boat does have a higher capacity our guests very much welcomed the opportunity to sit down for dinner on the lower deck and then party on the upper deck. The Golden Salamander is also a clear winner in the sense that although there is an open air deck at the front and back of the boat - when we held our party the heavens had opened it was pouring down with rain to the point that the boat was rocking before the music had started!! However the upper deck has a great space that is undercover so the party did officially get started, our guests stayed dry and everyone had a great time!

Laird PLC held a private dinner cruise on the MV Golden Salamder for a retiring director. The cruise and the dinner went off extremly well and everyone present thoroughly enjoyed the occasion. The boat was absolutely ideal and the staff and captain were always attentive and very helpful. We would not hesitate to do it all again. Our daughter's 21st birthday party aboard the Golden Salamander was a delight from start to finish. Every member of shore staff and the crew on board for the evening was courteous and extremely helpful, and the trip itself - with the lights of the city illuminating a lovely September evening - was wonderful. Altogether an unforgettable occasion. Many thanks to everyone, particularly to Alex Capes for her patience in answering innumerable questions, and the cleaners for the work they had to do in clearing up after us!

Our son's wedding reception on 4th september 2010 aboard the Golden Salamander was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. All the staff, especially Rebecca and Captain Jack Dean were so helpful and friendly and were such a main part of such a brilliant afternoon - even the weather was kind. So, a huge thank you to all concerned not forgetting of course Kirsten, the office manager, who was so helpful, friendly and supportive at all times. Another thank you goes to Jeff, the caracaturist, who was brilliant and provided lots of fun. What a super way and place to celebrate the wedding reception of our son!!

Our Year 13 Prom - 5th July 2010 - was a wonderful celebration, thoroughly enjoyed by all. The staff on board the Golden Salamander were very accommodating and courteous, making the evening very relaxed and enjoyable. The food was excellent and the bar staff efficient and helpful. I would highly recommend the service, made all the better on a beautiful summer's evening. The admin support, Kirsten in the office, was brilliant despite all our many phone calls she remained patient and supportive throughout. Many thanks!

We have hired The Golden Salamander for fifteen years in succession for our annual fun cruise for children with life threatening illnesses. Livetts have high standards of service, but most importantly the staff and crew members are professional, helpful and good humoured which makes all the difference to the sick children's and anxious parents' enjoyment of their day out.

The Thames Strategy - Kew to Chelsea chartered the Golden Salamander for a trip to the Thames Festival fireworks on September 14th 2008. The boat trip was free for guests as part of Open Chiswick. The feedback from the public was overwhelmingly positive - they thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. The staff on board where fantastically helpful and certainly ensured that the trip was enjoyed by all.
