As part of Sky Sports’ campaign to move all of their channels into the age of High Definition (HDTV) they recently teamed up with Livetts to shoot a new advert on the Thames. The advert was shot on the stretch of the river outside The O2 and can be viewed on youtube below:
Livetts Launches provided the marine logistics and support, liaising with Sky to provide the perfect angles and approaches for the advert. As well as providing safety support throughout the whole shoot on the river. The high speed work boats ‘Lima Lima 1’ and ‘Lima Lima 2’ were both deployed as camera/safety boats transporting the Sky cameramen on board for filming the advert.
Sky also requested a specific style of action boat for the ad. Livetts sourced and provided a high speed action boat RIB, which in this case was a one off prototype for the US Navy. This formed the main action boat for the filming sequence.
Livett’s Launches reputation and experience was vital in ensuring the relevant permissions were obtained to get the required shots on the Thames in London.
