Livett's Launches

05.05.10 - Livett’s official supplier to boats visiting the Royal Docks in 2012

Earlier this month Livett’s Launches were officially contracted as the supplier of marine services to boats, super yachts, and ships visiting London’s Royal Docks during 2012. The Royal Docks are the closest dock network to the London Olympic Park and are made up of vast expanses of 250 acres of non-tidal deep water providing safe and secure berths for boats, yachts and ships of all shapes and sizes.

“We are delighted with this contract as it officially recognises the high standards we work to,” commented Chris Livett. “2012 will be a busy year for London. The River Thames and connecting waterways will be seeing a lot of action from visiting craft, particularly the Royal Docks.”

Visitors to the docks enjoy beautiful views across The O2 Dome towards Canary Wharf and the City of London. The Excel Exhibition Centre is located on the edge of the Royal Victoria Dock which means there are exceptional transport links to both the Olympic Park and Central London, including Tube, DLR and City Airport. There are numerous hotels, restaurants and bars catering for every taste and price point.

The docks are accessed via Galleons Lock from the Tidal River Thames opposite Woolwich. For more information about the docks and facilities for visiting craft please see the Royal Docks Management Authority website: http://www.rodma.co.uk/
