Livett's Launches

28.04.09 - Livett Junior runs for the Cutty Sark

Edward Livett, Chris and Belinda’s son, ran the London Marathon on Sunday raising money for the restoration of the Cutty Sark. Edward and his friend Johnnie ran the 26.2 mile course in just under 5 hrs. It was a particularly warm day in the City which was great for the spectators, but not so good for the runners!

“Despite a number of blisters I really enjoyed the marathon,” commented Edward. ”We have raised over £4K so far and the money is still coming in.”

Edward and Johnnie also had the ultimate hospitality venue for their spectators! Chris and Belinda provided the beautiful stern wheeled paddle steamer Elizabethan for the 100+ supporters to follow the action. Revenue from tickets on the River Thames cruise were donated to help with the boys fundraising.

A great day was had by all.
