London has won the prestigious World’s Leading Destination Award at the 12th annual World Travel Awards.
Voted by thousands of professionals from the travel industry, London beat off competition from the likes of Sydney, Cape Town, Dubai, Las Vegas, Paris, Rome, New York and Barcelona to take the coveted title.
The announcement was made on the eve of World Travel Market at a gala reception and dinner at the Royal Opera House, attended by Tourism Ministers, Government officials and top executives from travel related companies from all over the world.
