         <description><![CDATA[With clouds emerging on Friday afternoon, a spot of sunshine arrived at Butler&rsquo;s Wharf Pier in the form of the beautiful super yacht Aviva. The 68 metre Aviva was built in Germany by Abeking Rasmussen in 2007. As if plucked out of a James Bond movie, she sailed up the River Thames to arrive in her pictureque location in Central London. Resting at her moorings she fitted in well with her backdrop of Tower Bridge and the iconic City skyline.

         <title><![CDATA[Return of the SS Robin, one of three of London’s protected ships]]></title>

         <description><![CDATA[On the 13th July, transformed and revitalised, one of the world&rsquo;s last surviving steamcoasters, the SS Robin, returned to east London, where she first began her life. The significance of being one of the three maritime landmarks in the capital along with Cutty Sark and HMS Belfast, shows the importance of SS Robin&rsquo;s return home after 120 years. 

Between 2008 and 2010 she was berthed in Lowestoft for &pound;1.9 million of conservation. Restoration involved her crane lift from the slipway to the bespoke floating pontoon, approximately 160ft long by 70ft wide. Impossible to say whether she would survive the strain]]></description>

C.S. Deutschland has been a complex project, possibly one of the most complicated navigational jobs on the River Thames.          <title><![CDATA[45 ton precast concrete bridge section delivered by barge]]></title>

         <description><![CDATA[On Saturday a 45 ton precast bridge pier section was delivered by barge and craned into position at the&nbsp;Blackfriars bridge redevelopment site. This well planned operation went extremely smoothly, the lift taking a mere 15 minutes. 
The concrete section was cast on the dockside at North Fleet prior to being loaded on to a barge. The section was then floated up the&nbsp;Thames into Central London,&nbsp;A 700 ton mobile crane was brought into Central London, blocking the Blackfriars underpass during the one off lift.

         <title><![CDATA[Bordeaux to London wine trading voyage recreated by Laithwaites]]></title>

         <description><![CDATA[Livett's hosted the arrivel of 'The Irene', a 100 year old former wine cargo ship. On completing the centuries old voyage from Bordeaux to London The Irene moored at Butler's Wharf Pier by Tower Bridge. Her cargo of&nbsp;9072 bottles of limited edition wines were auctioned off to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Trust.
Tony Laithwaite said: 'I have always felt strongly that this glorious traditional trade should never be forgotten. Our 2009 Bordeaux is such a fantastic vintage I knew it deserved to be taken to Britain the old way.'

         <title><![CDATA[Filming a spoof missile attack in London for hit BBC drama ‘Spooks’]]></title>

On this occasion they wanted to create the effect of a missile being fired down the river in an attempt to destroy the Houses of Parliament at Westminster. 

Livett&rsquo;s provided two boats and marine logistics for the filming on the River Thames. The versatile tugboat &lsquo;Alfie&rsquo; was used to tow the missile at high speed, whilst the Lima Lima 1 gave chase with the BBC cameramen shooting onboard.

As the contractor appointed to manage London&rsquo;s visiting ships Livetts provided marine logistics and mooring services to the vessel.
